Search Tips for Searching the Colorado Probate Code, Title 15

The search engine will search for Sections in the Colorado Probate Code containing specific words or combinations of words. The search engine will display a weighted list of matching Sections, with better matches displayed as hyperlinks to a Colorado Probate Code Section.

This is a text search engine. For that reason, it is problematic to find a specific Probate Section using the Statute number (i.e., §15-10-101).

The search engine accepts queries formed using the words "and," "or," "not," "*," the asterisk character, and parentheses. For example:

A search for "fiduciary responsibility " finds Statutes in the COSEPC web containing fiduciary or responsibility.
A search for "fiduciary or responsibility " also finds Statutes in the COSEPC web containing fiduciary or responsibility.
A search for "fiduciary and responsibility " finds Statutes in the COSEPC web containing both fiduciary and responsibility.
A search for "fiduciary not responsibility " finds Statutes in the COSEPC web containing fiduciary and not containing responsibility.
A search for "fiduciary and (responsibilities or responsibility)" finds Statutes in the COSEPC web containing fiduciary and either responsibilities or responsibility.
A search for "responsibil* " finds Statutes in the COSEPC web containing words beginning with responsibil.

The search engine does recognize the dash character (-), and for that reason searching for Statute number 15-10-101 will produce the desired Statute, 15-10-101, however, other statutes will also appear because the search engine interprets the dash character (-) as an "or".
